As your proposal date grows closer, it’s inevitable that you will have a few butterflies in your stomach, and you might find yourself feeling a little nervous as the time continues forward However, it’s one thing to feel pleasantly excited at the prospect of your proposal, and another to be drowning in stress and anxiety! Here are some tips to create a stress-free proposal.

Have a plan. If you’re a spontaneous person, it may be tempting to fly by the seat of your pants, but your proposal is too important to leave anything to chance. Reduce the number of things you have to worry about by planning well in advance, and leaving some extra time to straighten out any problems with plenty of time to spare.

Recruit! If at all possible, it’s best to have a team of people standing by to help you with your proposal. A professional proposal planner can offer guidance and inspiration, and friends and family can help with timing, logistics, and morale.

Pick vendors carefully. If you’re going to depend on someone to provide anything- music, food, art or even a location- then you need to make sure that they are dependable. A problem with a vendor can derail an entire proposal at the last minute, and that is one thing you do not want to worry about.

Stay calm. Even if you do everything right, there’s always the possibility that something will go wrong. However, you shouldn’t obsess over the slight chance that something might not be perfect- your thoughtfulness and attention to detail will carry the day, and your love for her will make any proposal amazing, no matter what happens.
