One of Khyl and Stephanie’s favorite memories is their first date at a hockey game. They’ve always bonded over their love of hockey, and their athletic, adventurous spirits have carried over to their relationship–they’ve hiked to the highest point in Arizona together!

After living two hours apart from each other, Khyl and Stephanie have learned how to make each moment count during their long-distance relationship. They value their time spent with family and friends, and can’t wait for the day where they can live in the same place.

When Khyl started planning their dream proposal, he knew he wanted to incorporate their commitment to each other and their love for adventure during their upcoming trip to Chicago. He loves that Stephanie is always thinking about the people around her, so it was important to him that he pop the question in an intimate location where they could truly celebrate and reflect on their once-in-a-lifetime love.

Khyl told her that he had a romantic dinner planned, but when they walked into the beautiful, private venue, Stephanie was awestruck as she walked down a path filled with roses, candles, and photos that depicted each stage of their relationship. At the front of the room, a large banner displayed the message that was already imprinted on their hearts: “Where there is love, distance does not matter.”

Stephanie beamed as Kyhl got down on one knee and asked her to spend her life with him. With the Chicago skyline glittering out the window, Stephanie said “yes!” and the couple celebrated with glasses of champagne before heading to dinner.
