Saarloos & Sons, a winery in Los Olivos, CA, has combined the two to create the perfect romantic date spot that has been tested and approved by The Heart Bandits! First of all, the town of Los Olivos is romantic in it self. It is a quaint little town with over 20 wine tasting rooms all in walking distance from each other. But when you walk into Saarloos & Sons, you know right away that this place is different.
From the outside, the wine tasting room looks charming and rustic. But on the inside it is completely modern, lovely, and innovative. I say innovative because when you walk in you see a super sleek bar to your left, and a cupcake stand to your right! That’s right, wine AND cupcakes. The process is, you go up to the cupcake stand (and by stand I mean a gorgeous glass case) and you select which cupcakes you want. The cupcakes are made by Enjoy Cupcakes and they are wine flavored. They have unique flavors such as Pineapple Chardonnay, Cherry Vanilla Merlot, and Chocolate Blackberry Syrah. You order your cupcakes and then you take them over to your bar and do some wine tasting. Of course, if you do not like cupcakes you can just go straight to the bar, but who doesn’t like cupcakes? After to do some wine tasting, head outside and sit with your sweetie on their cute patio. This is the perfect date for anyone who loves wine or cupcakes.
