The US is home to over 58 National Parks and for those who have been thinking about planning a proposal at one of these gems, we’ve narrowed down this list to highlight some of our favorites. You can’t go wrong with a proposal in one of these locations.
Yosemite National Park
Yosemite National Park is a phenomenal gem found in Northern California. This park has been open for 125 years, and features breathtaking waterfalls, sheer cliffs, and a forest of ponderosa pine trees. The best close up view of El Capitan (the most scenic mountain) can be found at El Capitan Meadow, which is located along Northside Drive. This would be an incredible spot for a romantic proposal, especially if done at dawn, when the view is unbeatable.
Grand Canyon National Park
Grand Canyon National Park is one of the most remarkable natural wonders in the world, and would serve as a breathtaking backdrop for a one-of-a-kind proposal. Located in Arizona, the Grand Canyon is one of the deepest gorges on earth, carved over millions of years by the Colorado River that still flows along the base. Proposals could be done from the air via helicopter, on the ground via horseback, along the river while whitewater rafting, or take place on one of the many scenic overlooks along the ridge.
Glacier National Park
If proposing in front of a glacier, surrounded by massive mountains and crystal clear lakes sounds awesome, then Glacier National Park in Montana is for you. Book a room at the historic Many Glacier Hotel and have one of the most stunning views in all of the park, on the shore of Swiftcurrent Lake.
Acadia National Park
For those on the East Coast, Acadia National Park in Maine may be just the ticket for your proposal. Home to the Cadillac Mountain, Acadia National Park has a scenic hiking trail that is widely considered one of the most beautiful in all of the United States. With over 47,000 acres to choose from, you can plan a phenomenal proposal at this epic location.
