We really enjoyed helping out this client with his proposal. We always feel blessed when they share their story with us and we get to help them tie it all together. In Roderick’s case, he had his first date with Hollis at a Wine Cellar in NYC, so we knew we had to incorporate that into the unique proposal ideas we presented him.
This is how their proposal plan went down. Roderick showed up at the restaurant and had Hollis meet him there. To throw off Hollis, Roderick told her that they were meeting with a Venture Capitalist at the restaurant. They received a “phone call” from the VC saying that unfortunately he had to cancel and as a way of apologizing, he would pay for a nice bottle of wine from the restaurant’s wine cellar.
Holly had no idea what was down there. She walked in and discovered an amazing floral arrangement just for her. There were pictures of her and Roderick spread out on a long table. The pictures were all about their ‘1sts’ of things they’ve done. There were cute chalkboard that describing those firsts such as their first date, first vacation, first time meeting family, etc. Since Roderick wants to have a family with her, he even made a first book to his unborn son. The book’s story explained what love truly feels like and what that woman should mean to you. The book had cartoon pictures of Roderick and Hollis in it and the last picture showed him proposing to her at that very spot.
He proposed in real life and of course she said YES! Congrats to Roderick and Hollis!
