When people think “wine country” they always think Napa.  While Napa is a great place to propose, don’t forget about the equally beautiful town of Sonoma.  With approximately 17 miles of wine country scenery and hundreds of wineries, there are countless  locations for your perfect proposal.  Marvin and I took a trip to Sonoma last month and scouted at some amazing locations.  Here are some Sonoma Proposal Ideas:

Ledson Winery and Vineyards

Known as “The Castle” around the globe, there are many different proposal locations at this winery.  You could propose over a glass of her favorite wine by a fireplace inside.  Or after a wine tasting flight, you could walk her outside near the fountain and propose with the backdrop of the rolling hills.  Hire a proposal photographer to get some seriously stunning proposal shots.  Special tip: there is a great little deli inside if you need some munchies to calm you down before you pop the question.

B.R. Cohn Winery

Aside from being an adorable estate that would make for some gorgeous proposal photos, B.R. Cohn has some history you may not expect.  If your girlfriend is a rock fan, she might be thrilled at the thought of being proposed to at a winery that was founded by the  manager of the Doobie Brothers.  I know Marvin and I were sure impressed to find that out.  Special tip: check out all the records and memorabilia inside.

Deefield Ranch Winery

If your girlfriend loves wine but is not impressed with the status quo, propose to her in a wine tasting cave!  The environment is cool, the sommeliers are friendly, and the pictures will be amazing.  Special tip: Make sure she has a sweater.  It can be chilly.
