Jeffrey and Nelly flew in to San Jose from Miami for a conference. Jeffrey thought it would be the perfect time to propose since she definitely would not accept it. He really wanted to propose by the water but due to their schedule, he had to propose near the hotel in San Jose. After speaking with Jeffrey and brainstorming some proposal ideas, we decided the Japanese Friendship Garden would be the perfect proposal location. It has a koi pond (body of water…check), and it was meaningful to their relationship because they had just visited to Japan 2 months prior.
A couple of other things we learned from Jeffrey is that Nelly is from Venezuela and loves Salsa music. She also loves coral and white tulips. We got Jeffrey to share some short and sweet feelings that he feels for Nelly and we had the perfect, gorgeous proposal idea.
A town car picked up Jeffrey and Nelly from the airport and stopped at the Japanese Friendship Garden. Jeffrey suggested getting out and going for a walk. She was completely blown away when she saw several beautiful arrangements of her favorite flowers.
A 3 piece salsa band played romanic salsa music as she walked around the area and read the love messages that Jeffrey wrote for her.
After reading each message, Jeffrey walked Nelly over to the tulip area and asked her to be his wife. She said yes! We couldn’t be happier for the couple and we were honored to be a part of the special day.
