I had sooooo much fun planning this polaroid inspired marriage proposal with Mike. Mike came to us with the idea to propose in Central Park. He lives in New York but had never been there and he kept telling Leah that he really wanted to go. So it was no surprise to her that he asked her to block off a day so that they could go check it out. What did surprise her is that after their brunch at Loeb Boathouse, she would receive a proposal she could only dream of.
The couple walked down the stairs from Belvedere Castle and Mike led her over to some blown up polaroids. Instantly she knew this wasn’t an ordinary day in Central Park. The polaroids were of them at different times in their relationship and they were adorned with her favorite pink flowers. Each polaroid had a line from their special song, “Talking Out Loud” by Ed Sheeran.
After they got done looking at the polaroids, Mike pointed out one large blank polaroid on the other side of the park. He led her over to it and asked her to stand behind it.
The polaroid had a marker attached to the bottom and after Leah was waiting behind the picture, he wrote out his marriage proposal. Leah had no idea what he had written until he walked back with her, dropped to his knee, and asked her to be his wife. It was a perfectly framed proposal and she of course, said yes.
