Mannie contacted The Heart Bandits a few months ago because he wanted to plan a very special marriage proposal for Omokhuwa. Mannie first saw Omokhuwa Facebook while pursuing a friend’s photo album. He recalled to us how she looked so innocent and beautiful and he had tto know more about her. Fast forward to a later date, Mannie was visiting an old family friend for the weekend and met Omokhuwa in person, and the rest is history.
During our interview with Mannie, we learned that the couples song is “Breathless” by Shayne Ward. Omokhuwa was in town visiting Mannie and she had never been to Central Park. We decided that Bethesda Fountain in Central Park was the perfect proposal location. She thought she was just there taking pictures in Central Park and was shocked when they stumbled upon a string quartet playing “Breathless” just for her. But that wasn’t the end of the surprises. Suddenly, strangers walked up to her and handed her roses. They then unrolled a banner that said “Omokhuwa, You leave me breathless every day. Will you marry me?” Mannie got on his knee and proposed and she said yes! Congratulations Mannie and Omokhuwa, and thank you for allowing The Heart Bandits to be your Wedding Proposal Planners!
