We LOVED working with Vivek on creating a unique proposal ideas for Katie. When we interviewed him, one of the things he said about Katie that stood out to us is that she lights up every room she walks in. We decided to turn that into the proposal concept.
Our first mission was to find a venue with an amazing light fixture. As you can see from the pictures above, we definitely achieved that! Next, we had a sign made that said, “Katie, you light up every room you walk in.”
Now for the fun part. When Vivek and Katie approached the room, the lights were off and there was nothing but candlelight. As they walked in, our coordinator slowly turned the lights on bringing the theme full circle.
A violin duo played their special song “Ever I Saw Your Face,” by Roberta Flack as they made their way over to the sign. There, Vivek dropped to his knee and proposed to Katie. She said “Yes!”
Vivek surprised Katie by walking over to the mantle and handing her a protea flower, a flower she fell in love with in Africa.
Still, there was one more amazing surprise in store for Katie. Her family and friends were waiting behind the red curtain all there to celebrate her engagement with her. She was completely blown away as you can see!
