1) Before any trip, do your research! It is always important to read up on the area you plan to visit beforehand in order to gain a better understanding and plan of how, where and with whom’s help you are going to propose. If you are traveling outside of the country to a country where your native tongue is not the first language, it is best to consult a translator first to avoid any miscommunication.
2) Never be afraid to ask for help. Once you two have arrived at your destination, sneak away and speak to a guest service agent or concierge to explain the secret purpose of your trip. If you are unsure of how to get started, they can guide you and assist you with finding the perfect local venues, vendors and more!
3) Don’t be afraid to step outside of the box. There are many ways to propose, every way is specifically unique to each couple. If you are adventurous, think of proposing underwater during a diving or snorkeling outing. If you are an adrenaline junkie, propose during a zipline adventure deep within a lush jungle.
4) Don’t forget to take pictures! Whether you hire a local photographer, videographer or not; make sure to document the moment to keep it alive forever. Time seems to fly by when you’re in the moment and you’ll definitely want something to share with your family and friends once you return home.
