Charlie and Hannah were together for about 8 years before he decided to plan a once-in-a-lifetime Gossip Girl proposal in the heart of New York City! During their trip to the Big Apple, Hannah thought they would be taking a Gossip Girl themed tour through the city. Little did she know, it would be a Gossip Girl themed proposal she would never forget.
Charlie worked with The Heart Bandits to come up with a detailed plan for the day that was full of romance and surprises. Their morning began with a hair and makeup artist along with a wardrobe technician who styled the couple like Blair and Chuck from Gossip Girl.
After getting dolled up in their attire, Charlie and Hannah took a limo throughout the city and re-created common scenes from the show by taking photographs at locations featured in the show like the Plaza Hotel, Empire Hotel, Bethesda Terrace, and steps of The Met. Not only were they dressed like Chuck and Blair, but they felt like they were living their lives, too!
As their dreamy afternoon came to an end, Charlie took Hannah back to their hotel and guided her into the room where there were beautiful rose petals and colorful macaroons that spelled out “XOXO.” Charlie got down on one knee in front of a sign that read “3 words, 8 letters, say it and I’m yours”–the famous line that Blair said to Chuck during the Gossip Girl series.
Hannah beamed with surprise and immediately said “yes!” Being such big fans of the show, Charlie was able to create a magical Gossip Girl proposal to kick off his life with Hannah.
