If you and your sweetheart are shutterbugs or Instagram fans, you have probably amassed a sizeable collection of photos- mementos from trips together, corny photo booth strips, selfies and candid shots from daily life. It would be a shame to let this amazing resource go to waste, so why not try and find ways to incorporate your images into your personalized proposal?

Hint

If you have a lot of photos stored away on hard drives or in folders, now is the time to get them out. For a subtle hint of what’s to come, display them so that everywhere she looks, she sees reminders of all of your good times together. Or, for more suspense, use the photos like a trail of bread crumbs to lead her into your perfectly planned proposal.

Decorate

Don’t underestimate the powerful impression your photos can make. If you have planned to propose at a specific venue, think ahead to decorate the area with your photos. For example, have a few high-resolution photos enlarged, and cover a wall with posters of you two together. Alternately, you can frame photos and arrange them on tables or walls as a gallery covering the timeline of your romance. If you have particularly poignant video, consider playing it on a television or computer monitor while you propose.

Commemorate

When the proposal is done, you still have work to do- you have engagement announcements to send out! This is the perfect opportunity to share your memories with the important people in your lives. Try making a collage of photos of your lives together, ending with a celebratory proposal photo to spread the news.
