Maldives

A tropical paradise in the Indian Ocean, the Maldives are one of the most scenic proposal destinations.  For nature lovers, the Maldives offer up a unique blend of oceanic life found nowhere else in the world. Surrounded by stunning coral reefs, the Maldives are inhabited by over 2000 species of colorful fish.  The white sand beaches are dotted with picturesque coconut palms – there are endless locations to plan the perfect proposal.

In the middle of the Pacific Ocean are a small chain of 7 unbelievably gorgeous islands.  From the tiny, romantic island of Kauai, to the surfers paradise of Maui, Hawaii offers a lush landscape of unparalleled beauty for people looking to get engaged.  Swim beneath stunning waterfalls, and take helicopter rides with your partner over magestic volcanic mountains, or simply sun together on the pristine beaches.

Bora Bora

Prepare to be stunned with a fabulous view unlike anywhere else on earth.  Bora Bora is a small Southern Pacific island, part of the Tahitian islands in French Polynesia.  Featuring a true turquoise lagoon protected by a large coral reef, the island of Bora Bora is a popular luxury resort destination, and also a fantastic place to propose!

Located in the South Pacific, Fiji features more than 300 different islands.  With deep blue lagoons, and palm-tree lined beaches, Fiji is the perfect tropical playground.  If you and your partner love adventure, you can go zip-lining through the forests, or mountain climbing along the lush ridges overlooking the ocean.  If you’d rather be seaside, Fiji is known for its surfing and scuba diving.  After a day of play, surprise your partner and propose at sunset.

St. Bart’s

The most unusual, and perhaps beautiful of the French West Indies islands, St. Barts is home to fabulous beaches, luxury yachts, designer boutiques, and yet is only 8 square miles!  First discovered by Columbus in 1493, St. Bart’s is a fabulous, high-end proposal destination for wealthy Americans and celebrities alike. With fantastic weather and charming locals, St. Bart’s is sure to impress your partner.

Jamaica

Jamaica is one of the islands in the Caribbean – perhaps the most famous due to its awesome climate, exciting array of activities for couples, stunning views, world-class cuisine, and postcard perfect white sand beaches.  Jamaica has something for everyone, and is one of the more affordable options for a tropical marriage proposal.

Mykonos

One of the most glamorous and popular Grecian islands in the Aegean Sea, Mykonos is a party destination that draws large crowds of music lovers from around the world.  Amidst the sparkling sea and the clean golden sand, visitors are greeted by friendly locals and world-travelers who have come to have an amazing time.  Mykonos is a fantastic place to propose if you love people and music.

Seychelles

Located off of the Eastern part of Africa in the Indian Ocean, the Seychelles are made up of 115 islands.  The Seychelles offer large nature reserves, and the chance to encounter rare wildlife like the giant Aldabra tortoise.  A photographer’s dream, the Seychelles offer stunning beaches, and lush mountain rainforests. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge even chose to spend their honeymoon in the Seychelles!

If you want to propose on an island, it’s likely you won’t be able to hide a traditional, clunky, engagement ring box.  Consider using a flat engagement ring box that won’t stick out – one that will fit easily in your pocket.  Check out the compact design of the ring box at www.ringstash.com and keep your proposal a secret until just the right moment.
