Mondays are usually the days that we feature a proposal that we helped plan, but today we’re going to stray a little bit away from that. We saw this proposal on the news recently and we had to share it because it is so touching and very cute.
As a Proposal Planner, I love seeing proposals that use all the tips that we always recommend, namely that they should be customized toward the relationship, include romantic elements, and should add the surprise factor. That was all included in this gem of a proposal.
The proposer in this video is named Stacy Ayotte and his girlfriend is Donita. Stacy created a movie trailer marriage proposal for Donita but did it in the most cute way possible, by using puppets that re-enacted important moments in their relationship together. By doing this, the movie trailer created a huge element of surprise because she didn’t know it was about her until about a minute in.
Stacy added tons of relevant items to the proposal by incorporating a church, her friends, and not to mention all the elements in the video. Donita’s reaction is that of pure happy emotion. It’s a great thing to watch. Congratulations to Stacy and Donita!
