New York Marriage Proposal Caught on Film

Looking for a creative marriage proposal?  Today’s featured proposal is an excellent example of how you can take a simple marriage proposal concept and make it romantic by simply capturing it on film. A man named Vinne from Ronkonkoma, New York told his girlfriend Roxana that he wanted to take a walk in Central Park. Little did she know that the walk was going to be her actual proposal.

The video has been edited with more bits of Vinne and Roxana posing for the camera and then talking about how they met and fell in love. Towards the middle you get to see the actual coverage of his proposal. What makes this nice is that he is in a very nice setting, the fountains in Central Park, and there are strangers around. The strangers are actually the videographer and photographer being inconspicuous. It works great because you get to see Roxana’s real reaction because the crew was there to capture it all. The setting is beautiful and now the couple has this amazing video to share with all their friends. Good job and congratulations to Vinny and Roxana!

Creating a surprise and personalized marriage proposal can be difficult to pull off by yourself. We are here to help though and are masters at creating surprise proposals and finding the perfect location for you to propose. We can give you proposal ideas or help you with the coordination and planning of your perfect marriage proposal. Contact us Today to get started on making your dream proposal come true.

San Antonio Proposal Ideas

I’m a native Californian and I believe that nothing can get me away from here. But there are certain states and cities that just have a lot of charm that I love going to. San Antonio is one such city because of the amount of history, charm, culture, and art it has to offer. For today’s marriage proposal ideas, we will be reviewing where to propose in San Antonio.

River Walk

This is hands-down the most romantic area of the city. It’s an excellent place to take a romantic walk with your sweetie on a warm summer night and propose on one of the scenic and charming bridges. Another option is to take your partner on one of the sight-seeing boats and have a sign held up along the shore asking her to be your wife.

Botanical Gardens

The San Antonio Botanical Gardens is an absolutely beautiful place to propose marriage in. Enjoy a leisurely walk from the rose garden to the lake. There are often times many butterflies that are flying around so you can head to an area where there’s many flowers to catch a glimpse of them. They have some art exhibits and overlooks that will be perfect for a relaxing time with your loved one.

McNay Art Museum

This Art Museum is a gorgeous place that has a vast collection of art. The facility itself perfectly blends beautiful Spanish style buildings and modern artistic architecture. Stroll through the gardens with the streams and fountains and you will have a perfect opportunity to enjoy quality time with your partner. There are many weddings that are held here and you can even book a rental space to have a perfectly personalized marriage proposal.

San Pedro Springs

This is a great historical place to visit because it is San Antonio’s oldest park and the second oldest park in the US. There is a nice collection of springs that cut through the park. You can incorporate that into your proposal by following the path and creating a marriage proposal around that on a nice day.

San Antonio has many more places that would be great to propose so make sure that when you are ready you have a marriage proposal plan . We are Texas proposal planners and we know the best spots to propose and can help you personalize your proposal to make it unique to your relationship. Contact us today to get started on making your dream proposal concept become reality. We will help you with the proposal ideas, planning, and the budget to make it all that you could have ever imaged.  Also, Our clients are always asking us how to hide their bulky engagement ring box on the day they propose.  The answer is, buy a skinny engagement ring box!! Ring Stash, www.ringstash.com offers a .5 inch ring box that will help you keep your proposal a secret until you are ready to reveal it.

Romantic Tip of the Week: Be Spontaneous

After you have been together for a while, it gets easy to get caught up in the day to day routine.  Marvin and I have been together for over 3 years so of course we both have to put in an effort to keep things interesting.  That is why this week’s romantic idea is to be spontaneous.  Here are some ideas on how you can be more spontaneous from your Romance Experts at The Heart Bandits:

Plan a Short Trip

On a random weekend, tell your partner to pack their bags and take them on a short getaway.  Marvin did this for me once.  We woke up and he said to get ready because we were going to go to Temecula to go wine tasting.  It was great and romantic and your partner will love it too.

Do Something Unexpected

Do something unexpected for or with your partner.  For example, normally I don’t watch Laker games with Marvin so an example of doing something unexpected for him would be for me to go get a six pack of beer and some chicken wings and surprise him with all that while I watch the game.

Make Love Somewhere New

Yes, I said it, make love somewhere new.  You have to keep sex exciting too when you are in a long term relationship so switch it up and make love somewhere besides the bedroom.  I won’t give examples, use your imagination!

If you would like more simple yet great romance ideas, then contact us today. We are romance experts and can help you bring that spark in your relationship that you’ve been looking for.

National Proposal Day

Few people know this but today, March 20th, is actually National Proposal Day. The reasoning is actually somewhat thoughtful. March 20th is actually the Vernal Equinox meaning that the day and night lengths are equal, symbolizing the efforts of two partners needed for a successful marriage. Because of this day, a survey conducted by Tairlored.co shed some light on what women thought about some specifics of their proposal. Here are some of the survey questions and thoughts about them.

69% of women said their man proposed to them in private, with no one else around; 26% of women said there were LOTS of strangers around because he proposed in a very public place,

This is not too surprising because this has been the standard way of doing things. But the latest trends that we’ve been seeing is that people are getting engaged more often in semi-private places that are in public with people around but not huge amounts of people. Of course, there’s nothing wrong with private, public, or semi-private places as long as the proposal is personalized to your partner and to your relationship. Any proposal in these settings can be made special with the right touches.

9% said “Shoot i wish I were wearing a different outfit or at least had thrown on some makeup!”; 9% said “I wish I had gotten a manicure! I can’t take a pic of a ring with these nails!”; 6% said “EEEK! I don’t know if I like this ring!”

Guys really need to pay attention to these statistics because as you can see, 24% of women had a response that indicated that their proposal could have been better with either a better plan or ring. As
proposal planning experts, we can help you with ring selections that will make her jaw drop and with a proposal plan that will ensure that she is happy and not in a position where she will be embarrassed.

34% said he did NOT ask their dad or their mom; 22% of women said their guy did NOT get down on one knee

This is somewhat surprising because these are the traditional and well-known aspects of a proposal. Sure every relationship is different so the asking of the parents may vary, but the fact that that many guys did not make an effort to include their future family on their plans is too bad. Also, getting down on one knee is a very meaningful and classy gesture. We definitely recommend that the proposer do this.

As you can see, there are some big things to keep in mind before proposing. If you are thinking about proposing then, why not get some help? We are here to help you through every step of the proposal. We can give you proposal ideas or help you with the coordination and planning of your perfect marriage proposal. Contact us Today to get started on making your dream proposal come true.

Romantic Michigan Proposal by The Heart Bandits

H.A contacted us earlier this month for Michigan Proposal Ideas. He really wanted to pull off something special for his girlfriend, but he lives over 4 hours away so he knew he would need some help setting things up. Another challenge was his girlfriend’s town of Northville, Michigan is pretty small so finding everything he needed was more difficult. The Michigan Proposal Planners from The Heart Bandits got right to work to try to find a location for a romantic proposal. It was a challenge at first because the weather forecast showed rain for Saturday, but fate intervened and we were able to pull off a romantic proposal in a park in Northville.

The theme we came up with was “LONG” because they were in a long distance relationship and he mentioned that word several times in his interview. We had signs set up in the park that said:

“Baby”
“I hope you enjoy the coffee. I remember I drove a LONG way to have coffee with you on our first date.”
“It has been really hard because of the LONG distance but it has been worth it”
“Over a LONG talk at dinner, I knew you were the one”
“I want to live a LONG and happy life with you by my side forever”.

The proposal was romantic, classy, and perfect for the couple.  H.A. emailed us saying everything went perfect just like we promised and that we made his life! What a compliment. We are so honored to have been a part of this perfect proposal.

If you want to create a romantic and personalized proposal like this, hire a Proposal Coordinator at The Heart Bandits. We are Proposal Experts and have a passion for proposal planning. We will create an original proposal concept and then execute the idea for you. Contact us Today to get started on making your dream proposal come true.

1st Wedding Anniversary Gift Ideas

For all you married folks out there, we will be having a special segment on our Friday blogs by presenting you with ideas for every year of your anniversary. Kicking off this segment today will be the first Wedding Anniversary. I’m actually going to be celebrating my 1st Wedding Anniversary with my beautiful wife Michele this year in August so this one is a big one for me.

The traditional 1st Year Wedding Anniversary is paper (there is a modern US anniversary version which we will talk about at a later time). When you think of paper, it doesn’t conjure up too many images of romance and gifts as would something like candles, roses, or diamonds, but paper does give you a lot of flexibility to do some great things. Here are some great wedding anniversary gift ideas for your first year that will incorporate paper.

Tickets to a Show or Destination

Now-a-days when you buy a ticket to something it will most likely be an electronic ticket but there’s no reason that you can’t print it out and present it to your partner in a nice way. Print out the tickets to see the artist that played your first song or the tickets to a surprise 2nd honeymoon trip and present them to your loved one in a vase.

Love Poem

You can’t get much better than this if you personalize it to your partner and your relationship. This isn’t expensive and it could hold so much value if you put a lot of thought into it. Hand-write it on a nice piece of paper and present it in a nice format for extra appeal.

Picture Book

If you’re like us, then you probably have a ton of pictures from your wedding. If you haven’t done so yet, create a picture book of the best images from your wedding. For you Mac users, this is really easily done through iPhoto and it lets you order them right there. You can also place the order through many other online retailers. If you already have lots of pictures printed, then you can create a picture book of you two throughout the years.

Painting or Artwork

If your partner loves any particular kind of art style then get that for her/him on your anniversary. It will be good as well if the piece of artwork somehow symbolizes your relationship and you can place it somewhere nice in your home.

Framed Wedding Vows

Another sentimental thing you can do is print out your wedding vows. This is a nice way to relive the memory of one of the best days of your life and have a reminder of it displayed in your household. It’s a sentimental way of expressing the love for your partner.

If you would like more wedding anniversary gift ideas , anniversary date ideas, or anniversary party planning, then contact us today. We are your go-to place for all things romance and anniversary.

Phoenix Proposal Ideas

If you are wondering where to propose in Phoenix, I am here to help you.  I spent a lot of time in Phoenix when I was in the Air Force and I liked it.  But it sure is hot! Here are some places to propose in or around Phoenix.

Sanctuary

Located in Scottsdale, Sanctuary is a beautiful resort where you can get away from it all.  With spectacular views of Paradise Valley, you could get engaged with views of  the mountain or the desert and then celebrate with a couples massage at their spa.

Wrigley Mansion

Built by chewing gum magnate William Wrigley Jr., the Mansion sits atop a 100 foot knoll with stunning views of the city and mountains. If you can rent it out private this could be the ultimate Phoenix proposal.

Piestewa Peak

Take the Summit trail to the top of the mountain and get engaged with magnificent views.  This is a great proposal for an outdoors lover.

Desert Botanical Gardens

The gardens are truly beautiful and would make a great proposal location.  But as with any idea, there needs to be personalization in the proposal so think of a creative way to do this.  Or hire a Phoenix Proposal Planner to come up with the idea!

If you want to create the perfect proposal hire the Proposal Experts at The Heart Bandits.  We have a passion for wedding proposal planning and we will create an original proposal concept and then execute the idea for you.  Contact us Today to get started on making your dream proposal come true.

Romance Tip of the Week – Movie Night In

I took a look at the weather this morning and found out that this weekend in Southern California we will have “torrential” rainfall. It’s a bummer because you never expect that in Southern California and it takes away a lot that you can do in terms of having dates with your sweetie. Today’s Romance Tip from The Heart Bandits goes out to all you people stuck in an area that will have rainfall, snowfall, or just plain ugly weather this weekend. The romance tip is very simple: a movie night in with a slight twist.

When I was a kid, my brother and I used to take the cushions from the couch and put them on our living room floor and have Wrestle Mania. It was fun and we limited the amount of destruction we had at our parent’s house. When you have a movie night in, you can actually do a similar type of thing, minus all the head-locks and elbows to the stomach. For your Movie Night, try setting up a romantic cushioned area right in front of your TV. Move the coffee table, place some blankets on the ground, and grab as many pillows as you can. When you watch the movie, you can snuggle and be as comfortable as you want. As an added cute gesture, try getting one of those nostalgic popcorn makers and enjoying some while you watch. For the guys, if you’re going to want to get some bonus points, rent a chick flick (you can muster up one) and get your girl’s favorite candy as well. This way you could just have a nice and sweet romantic time at home. The sound of the rain outside will make your time even more romantic.

If you would like more simple yet great romance ideas , then contact us today. We are romance experts and can help you bring that spark in your relationship that you’ve been looking for.

Philadelphia Proposal by The Heart Bandits

A couple months ago, one of the nicest guys ever contacted us to help with his proposa. His name is Dave and he simply adores his girlfriend Jessica so he really wanted to give her a special proposal.  Since Philly is very cold this time of year, he wanted something indoors.  She loves dancing so the concept of a dance studio proposal was created.  Once the proposal idea was selected, The Heart Bandits jumped into action to coordinate the event.  We contacted Shana from Society Hill Dance Academy and she was excited to help out.

Here is how it all went down.  Dave told Jessica that he had a date planned for Saturday night.  He wanted to take her Tango dancing.  Jessica was super excited because she loves dancing!  Besides, who wouldn’t be happy if their man thought of such a creative date idea?  At 7pm, they showed up for their dance class and there were photographers there taking pictures.  The group was told that the photographers were there taking pictures for the studio, but really it was Jensen Photography, the photographers we hired to photograph the proposal!  After the dance lesson, Dave and his girlfriend were given a tour of the studio since Dave had purchased a dance package and would be coming back in the future.

The last stop of the tour was a studio that was transformed into a proposal paradise.  There were over 70 candles, creating a pathway to an easel that was displaying a picture of the couple.  Next to the couple was a table set up with  a special candle that Dave provided which had meaning to the couple.  Dave walked Jessica up to the easel and explained to her how much he loved her.  He then revealed a sign that was behind the picture that said “Jessica Will You Marry Me”?  Of course she said yes and we couldn’t be more happy for the couple.  Check out the photos provided by Jensen Photography. I am just so honored to have been a part of this proposal.

If you want to create a romantic and personalized proposal like this, hire a Proposal Coordinator. We are Proposal Experts and have a passion for marriage proposal planning. We will create an original proposal concept and then execute the idea for you.  Contact us Today to get started on making your dream proposal come true.  Check out Philadelphia Proposal Ideas here.
