Today’s we will be talking about the 5th Wedding Anniversary which is a big year and shows a very good start to your journey together. The traditional 5th Year Wedding Anniversary gift is wood and here are some ideas.

Wooden Picture Frame

Take a picture from either your wedding or one of the big moments you’ve had in your five years. Even better, get a picture frame that holds 5 pictures and select one from each year of your marriage. If you have kids include them in there to show how your family has grown.

Plants and trees are great for remembering your anniversaries. If you plant an outdoor tree you can watch it grow large with strong roots and let it be symbolic of your relationship. When it’s big enough you can use it for decorations for parties or for a swing or hammock set.

Wooden Wine Rack

For the wine lovers out there this is a great gift. This can be a reason to go to wine country to you can stock up on your wine collection. Get a rack that could hold enough bottles for special occasions and then for regular use.

Wooden Jewelry Box

There are many types of decorative jewelry boxes that you can get. For this anniversary, wooden boxes come are very classy but can still be very modern looking. When you present this to your partner, make sure to also get him/her something inside as an additional present.

Wooden Furniture

If your partner has been wanting something for your house, this can be great to bring a nicer touch to your home environment. Some good options would be nice dinner tables, coffee tables, or bedroom sets.

Bouquet of Flowers

The obvious choice is simply a beautiful bouquet of flowers. You should definitely know your spouses favorite flower at this stage so get a big, elaborate bouquet of those.

Plant Flowers

Give your partner a basket full of flower seeds and then plant them together.  That way you can watch your flowers bloom along side with your relationship.

Fruit Basket

A fruit basket is a great anniversary gift especially for your husband who may not appreciate flowers.  They have great fruit baskets that are even dipped in chocolate.  Who wouldn’t like that.

Floral Scented Gifts

Perhaps your partner isn’t too big on actual flowers.  Try surprising your spouse with floral scented candles or perfume.

Flower Jewelry

For something that lasts longer than flowers, buy some floral shaped jewelry as an anniversary gift.

Pros and Cons of Flash Mob Proposals

As one of The Heart Bandits Wedding Proposal Planners, I have seen (and planned) all sorts of small, large, private, and public proposals. Within the last couple of years, the biggest trend that I have seen has been the very public flash mob proposal. When people are thinking of the best proposal ideas, they tend to think that bigger is better. This may be true in some cases but you should always have your partner in mind when planning your proposal. Here are some pros and cons to think about if you’re thinking about proposing using a flash mob.

flash mob proposal

Pros

Elaborate

The best part of a flash mob proposal is that it is elaborate. When you get a large group of people together, it shows your partner that you went to A LOT of effort just for them. Having planned these proposals before, we can easily tell you that it takes an enormous amount of work because you need the helpers, permissions, song, practice, and coordination for it to go off well.

Surprise Factor

The one thing about flash mobs that you cannot argue against is that they’re a huge surprise. They pop out of nowhere in places that lots of people go to so it’s very easy to pull off a surprise. If you want to do this, you can just tell your partner you’re taking her to a nice restaurant in a public plaza and then ‘boom!’, you have a flash mob there just for her.

Amazing Photo/Video Opportunity

Flash mobs with music create an amazing video, as you’ve probably seen from numerous YouTube viral posts. Getting all those people in unison to do a dance for your proposal is a very cool feat. The videos always tend to look amazing and they’re fun to watch.

Cons

Very Complicated

The downside of flash mobs is that they’re extremely complicated to pull off. First of all you have to choose a location. Many public places require permits for things like this so you have to be sure they’re ok with it first. The last thing you want is to have everyone there and then be kicked out before or during the performance. Also, getting enough reliable people that can do the dance routine is tough. You need time to practice and that creates lots of difficulties with schedules.

A Trend Right Now

Ever look back at hairstyles of pictures you had 10 years ago and just wonder “What was I THINKING?”. Well that’s because you had the trend back then. Flash mobs are trends now, so if you have a flash mob proposal, you run the risk of not liking it down the road because it’s a trend. If you feel your partner may not like trends, then this may not be a good idea.

Risky

With flash mobs, you have a lot of risks to worry about. Merely getting everyone to the location is risky because you never know what might go wrong and who may not show up. Also, putting your partner in the center of attention is dangerous if you’re not sure she will say yes or if she doesn’t like the spotlight.

Having a flash mob proposal has its ups and downs but it can still be a great proposal for you if it fits your relationship. If your partner loves the spotlight and your engagement is the next step, then this type of proposal may work well for you. If you want such a proposal, you will definitely need an experts help. Contact us today to get started on getting the perfect proposal idea and planning down.

How To Propose In An Intimate Setting

With all the latest trends in flash mobs, public proposals, and other elaborate proposal productions, it may seem like marriage proposals need to be big in order to be good. That is completely untrue. About half of the proposals that we have helped coordinate have been small and intimate type of proposals. These types of proposals will never go out of style and can always be incredibly meaningful and perfect for your relationship… if you know how to pull it off. Here are some wedding proposal tips by The Heart Bandits on how to propose your engagement with an intimate setting.

Quiet Setting

Similar to the philosophy of real estate, to create the perfect intimate proposal you must first have the location down. Places to consider are your home, a hidden park or hill area, an empty beach, or even a backyard. Setting something up in your home would be the easiest but if you think that you’re home isn’t good enough, remember that it’s not about how grand your home is, it’s about the emotion of the moment. Make sure that whatever location you choose is quiet and free from distractions.

Heirlooms From Your Relationship

To make your intimate proposal special, it’s a good idea to include items from your relationship. Simple things such as pictures of you two throughout your relationship would work well. Anything that you can include into a scrapbook you can pretty much frame and include into your setting. Other examples are ticket stubs from trips together or even printed signs of inside jokes.

Accents of Romance

This is important. To add romance to a setting, all it takes is accents. Things such as flowers, chocolates, romantic background music, candles, a dinner setup with wine, or a fireplace are perfect. You don’t need to go overboard, especially if your location is already good, but make sure you accent it with other romantic items.

Your Partner’s Favorites

This proposal is about your relationship and about your partner, so make sure to include things that your partner likes. Include your partner’s favorite drink, flowers, snacks, and if you have a theme going, use your partner’s favorite color often. Your sweetie will appreciate all the small details that you put into it and will make your time more meaningful.

Having an intimate proposal will always be the default choice if you’re unsure that a bigger, more elaborate proposal will work well. Some people may not have the means to create one however. If you want such a proposal for you and would like an expert’s help, then, contact us today. We are marriage proposal planners that are experts in this field and can answer any questions you have. We can give you proposal ideas and coordinate the entire event for you.

Marriage Proposal Idea That Will Bring You To Tears

Ok, after watching this video I went through a lot of tissue.  If you are searching for ideas for a proposal, you have come to the right place.  I am absolutely in love with this ice skating rink because it is so creative and unique.  And the best part of it all is that you could do this proposal off the ice as well making it great inspiration for a year round proposal.  But of course, you can’t just copy this proposal.  Hire The Heart Bandits to help you figure out how to propose in a special way that is also personalized to your relationship.  Here is what we love about this proposal:

Creative

One of the best parts about this proposal is how creative it is.  We have all seen a lot of ice skating proposals but nothing like this.  We love the costumes, the signs, and just the uniqueness of it all.

Sentimental

We love, love, love how romantic and sentimental the signs are in this proposal.  They tell a story about how he feels about her and that is critical in a  proposal.

Planned

The most important part of a proposal is the planning.  You can tell this guy put in many hours coordinating this event perfectly and it turned out great.  If you aren’t comfortable handling all the details of a complex proposal or just don’t have the time, hire a Proposal Planner.

Documented

An element of a proposal that should never be forgotten is documenting it!  The video of her proposal is something she will always cherish for the rest of her life.  Well done!
