Want a romantic but unique date idea?  Sometimes you don’t need to have all the flash or expense to have such a date with your sweetie…sometimes all it takes is something simple that will leave lasting impression.  If you live in the Los Angeles area, a very cute and unique date would be to take her to the landmark water fountains in the city.  Los Angeles has tons of landmarks, but fountains are not known as the staple, but they are prominent and each has a story behind them and offer an opportunity to enjoy time with your sweetie relaxing and enjoying the perfect weather of Southern California.  It’ll be the perfect sweet, simple date that will make her remember that you have it all.  Here are some of the fountains in LA that you can go to.

  • The Mulholland Memorial Fountain.  Dedicated in 1940 and named after the man responsible for bringing the aqueduct system to LA, it is known as the Kool-Aid fountain because of its colored lights added to it at night. It is a very romantic spot to take your girl.

  • The Arthur J. Will Memorial Fountain.  This amazing fountain is located next to the Los Angeles Civic Center.  Take your date here to enjoy the ambiance then to her to see an orchestra at the Walt Disney Concert Hall.

  • The Gateway Plaza Fountain in San Pedro gives you an amazing view of the Port and the St. Vincent Thomas bridge.  Similar to the fountain at the Bellagio in Las Vegas, this fountain dances to choreographed music played through loudspeakers.  Take your date here to take in the views.

  • Similarly, the Bunker Hill Water Court also dances to music.  It’s another great spot to take your date to relax and enjoy a sweet and romantic evening.
