We hear people a lot say that their girlfriend’s told them if they spent too much money on the proposal they would be upset.  I am calling BS on that!!   I know women, and I know proposals so allow me to help you debunk what she really means when she’s talking about the proposal.

She says: “I don’t want you to spend a fortune on a ring.”

This doesn’t mean that you should go down to Zales and buy the cheapest ring you can find.  It means, that she doesn’t want you to spend an unreasonable amount of money that would cause you financial hardship.  Figure out what you can reasonably afford, and go from there.  Stick to your budget, but find something worthy for your bride to be.  Think outside the box, and use a modern, compact ring box to hide your engagement ring in for safekeeping. She says: “You shouldn’t spend a lot of money on the proposal, we should just use that money for the wedding.”

This is practical advice and makes logical sense, however, it doesn’t mean that you should take her to a restaurant and propose over a salad.  You don’t have to spend a fortune to have a fantastic proposal for her but you do need to make it special– check out some of these all-inclusive, affordable proposal packages created by the proposal experts at The Heart Bandits.

She says: “I don’t care when, or how you propose.”

This is unlikely to be true – she just doesn’t want to put a lot of pressure on you.  Surprise her with a thoughtful proposal and you’ll see how much it really did matter.  A little effort will really pay off!
