The Heart Bandits are so excited to share our recent Washington DC proposal with you!  Bill is from Boston and he wanted to propose while he and his girlfriend Kristen were in DC on a trip.  He wanted it to be outdoors and he wanted a musician involved, but he needed some help turning it into a final concept so he contacted The Heart Bandits – Wedding Proposal Planners.  We came up with a great proposal idea and Kristen’s reaction was even better than we expected.  Even though Hurricane Sandy visited DC just a few days before Bill did, everything turned out amazing.

Bill and Kristen visited the Martin Luther King Jr. memorial near Tidal Basin.  The two then walked down to the park and they just happened to pass by 2 “street performers”.  The street performers, Nancy Scimone and her guitarist, were of course planted by us.  The musicians just happened to be playing “Can’t Take My Eyes Off of You” which is Bill and Kristen’s song.  After they were done performing, Bill gave Kristen some money so that she could tip the performers.  Kristen walked up to the guitar case and opened it so she could put the tip in.  She was shocked to find a frame inside the guitar case that said her nickname “Sunshine” and a dozen roses.  When she looked back to ask Bill what was going on, Bill was already on one knee to propose. Check out how beautifully the emotion was captured by SPAN Photography.
