This beautiful church was designed by Palladio in 1556, but wasn’t completed until 1610, 30 years after Palladio’s death.  Architecturally, it is significant, because of the departure it makes from Venetian Gothic architecture.  It’s an amazing location to bring someone with a passion for architectural history.  Beyond that, it is beautiful.  Do your proposal at sunset, when you can climb the church tower and see all of Venice spread out before you, in the rosy light of the setting sun.

A PRIVATE GONDOLA RIDE

Local Venetian legend says that if you kiss on a gondola at sunset under the Bridge of Sighs, while the bells are ringing, then you will have eternal love and bliss.  Hire a gondola, take a ride, and end up under the bridge.  Your love will be charmed by the romance of the legend, and who doesn’t want a little extra marital bliss?
