Marvin, half of The Heart Bandits duo, was recently interviewed and featured on Telemundo. We are so proud of Marvin and thought maybe you would want to know a bit about one of our Co-Founders. I sat down with Marvin and asked him some questions about how he likes being a Proposal Planner.
You have an engineering degree from MIT. How did you end up being a Proposal Planner?
“I proposed back in 2010 and when Michele let me know that she wasn’t a huge fan of my marriage proposal, I explained that there were not really any resources out there to help men propose. Together, we decided we would put an end to that.”
Do you miss being an engineer?
I actually still get to use my engineering background! In 2011, I invented American’s first flat engagement ring box in response to so many men asking me how they could hide their bulky engagement ring box on the day they proposed.
Wow, that is pretty impressive. What is your favorite thing about being a Proposal Planner?
Well for me, I’m a guy’s guy. So I like that I get to help the guy’s get through one of the most nerve wracking events of their lives. It is kinda cool.
What do you like least?
It is extremely stressful. The guy’s are counting on me to make sure that I make their proposal absolutely perfect. I can’t let them down. So that is a big stress to carry, but it is rewarding.
