Here at The Heart Bandits, we set up romantic marriage proposals in Central Park on a weekly basis. But I have to say, this is one of my favorites. James wanted a picnic set up in Central Park but he wanted it to be really personalized to his relationship. He hired us for our Custom Proposal Planning to make sure his proposal truly reflected his girlfriend Candeece. One of the things that stood out to us when we interviewed James was that he and Candeece love to travel. In fact, they were visiting New York from Australia!! Together they had travelled to many locations such as Switzerland, Italy, and Paris. After stalking her Pinterest page we found out what her favorite colors and flowers were and we were ready to go.
James and Candeece walked around Central Park and eventually stumbled upon the romantic set up under a tree, overlooking the famous Bow Bridge and the city skyline. First, she saw a picnic designed in her favorite colors which are white and turquoise. She saw a map surrounded by turquoise paper airplanes and her favorite flowers in turquoise pots.
Upon closer look of the map, she was so surprised to see that each place they had been to together was highlighted on the map. James handed her the paper airplanes which had beautiful messages on them that said things like, “I love all of the amazing trips we have shared together,” “I love your gentle and caring personality,” “You are loving and amazing.”
Last, there was a box of Laduree macaroons, something that is very important to their relationship and symbolic of their time together in Paris. Candeece opened the macaroon box and was stunned to see the message, “Candeece, Remember when we found this little picnic site in Central Park and I asked you to marry me?” James dropped to his knee to propose and she of course said yes!!
