Travel Theme Rooftop Proposal Idea
Christian and Fernanda love to travel! Their first date and kiss was in the beautiful city of Cancun, and since then, they’ve traveled to Madrid, Paris, Italy, all across Europe, and more. To surprise Fernanda and make his epic marriage proposal one-of-a-kind, Christian wanted to include some of their favorite destinations from around the world.
With the help of The Heart Bandits, Christian rented out a gorgeous rooftop in Manhattan. On the day of his proposal, Christian guided Fernanda out of the elevator and to her surprise, a live orchestra was playing a beautiful rendition of “All of Me” to set the mood. When she looked around the room, she was awestruck as she noticed the seven-foot Eiffel Tower made out of twinkling lights and gorgeous flowers–it was the perfect representation of their trip to Paris.
As they made their way to the rooftop garden, they passed a beautiful faux Parisian grass wall adorned with romantic photos of the two of them during their travels. Hand in hand, Christian and Fernanda walked through colorful ruby-colored rose petals until they reached a gondola that was spilling over with luxurious roses to represent their trip to Italy.
To “wow” her even more, Christian guided Fernanda to a stack of vintage Louis Vuitton suitcases where she gracefully unwrapped a Mexican tote by Christian Louboutin. In the background, a string quartet played romantic music as Christian wrapped his arms around Fernanda and enjoyed the warmth of the candles lining the magical greenery of the garden.
When the moment was right, Christian directed her to the pool where she noticed a plexiglass message spelling “Will you travel the world with me forever?” As he dropped to his knee to propose, Fernanda was overcome with emotion as she said “YES!”
After the proposal, the staff served them an intimate dinner for two as Fernanda and Christian reflected on their past–and future–travels! Artistic Rooftop Proposal Idea
Next up on our Best New York Rooftop Proposal Ideas, this one seems like it is right out of a movie. From the picturesque views of New York City to the elegantly drawn love story of Arun and Aswathi, this proposal is simply breathtaking.
When we interviewed Arun, what stood out to us was the way he told his love story with Aswathi. So with the help of Arun, we came up with the concept to tell the love story in pictures! We rented out a gorgeous rooftop overlooking Manhattan as the backdrop for their picture perfect proposalpi. We hired an artist to draw several pictures of Arun And Aswathi which told the story of the milestones in their relationship. The first was a drawing of Arun and Aswathi using Facetime as that is how they communicated when they were far apart. The next showed her 25th birthday in New York City and their first trip to Hollywood.
The following picture showed Arun meeting Aswathi’s family for the first time and last but certainly not least, the drawing of Arun proposing right on the very rooftop that they were standing on. Since purple is her favorite color, we had a florist design beautiful purple floral arrangements.
Arun proposed and Aswathi said yes! The two went on to celebrate with a romantic dinner inside the Penthouse. Thank you Arun for choosing The Heart Bandits – New York Proposal Planners.

Simple and Intimate Proposal Idea
Adam hired us to plan the perfect proposal for his girlfriend Vicky. He was very specific in what he wanted. He wanted a private rooftop with a view of the Empire State Building at 9pm on December 8th. Sounds easy, right? But once we got to work we found that nearly every rooftop in NYC was already rented out for private holiday parties. But The Heart Bandits love a good challenge. Sean from Sean Kim Photography was there to capture the beautiful proposal on film.

Singing Actors Proposal Idea
Sergey contacted The Heart Bandits – wedding proposal planners, to plan the perfect proposal for his beautiful girlfriend Sveta. He let us know right off the bat that Sveta was no ordinary girl and that no ordinary proposal would do. No pressure right? We immediately began brainstorming and we came up with a the perfect NYC proposal ideas. Sveta is a model and is used to being swept off to parties in whatever city she is in. So when she was visiting NYC, it wasn’t a big deal that Sergey told her they would be attending a party on a rooftop. What she could not have known is that every single person on the rooftop was an actor, placed there for her dream proposal.
Sergey and Sveta walked out on the rooftop and they were immediately greeted with a host serving champagne. They walked over to the edge of the rooftop to quietly enjoy the view of the Empire State Building, dressed in its Christmas colors. After spending some time sipping on their drinks and enjoying the music being played, everything changed. A guitarist walked right up to Sveta and began belting out her favorite song, “Can’t Take My Eyes Off Of You”. You can see from the video above that Sveta was completely shocked, and then there was more. One by one, all of the party goers walked up to her and handed her a rose. There were 29 in total, because in Russia it is customary to receive an odd number of flowers for celebratory occasions. When the chorus of the song came, the whole rooftop sang the song with the guitarist and Sergey proposed. Of course, that wasn’t the end of the surprises we had in store for Sveta.
After the proposal, the actors immediately left giving Sergey and Sveta the whole rooftop and Penthouse to themselves. It is then that they enjoyed a private dinner for two and celebrated the beginning of the rest of their lives together.
