Going out to romantic settings for a nice date is always fun and is definitely recommended by The Heart Bandits to bring spark to your relationship.  Every once in a while though, it’s nice to have a fun evening at home.  But rather than just watching a movie or TV, having a fun and romantic date at home is a great change of pace that will make for a memorable date.  One such date idea is to have a paint-by-numbers date at home.

For those that don’t know, paint-by-numbers are kits sold at many art and craft stores.  Essentially, you are given a piece of canvas that is pre-printed with sections that have numbers.  Each number corresponds to a specific color, which is normally supplied with the kit.  You just use a paint brush and fill in the appropriate numbered paint to the section, and you’ll have a nice painted piece of work when you’re done.  It’s a great thing to do as a couple, either by sharing a single piece or each doing your own.  Be careful where you do it because it could get messy so make sure you don’t paint near sensitive stuff.   If you have some artistic talent (or are at least willing to try) you can try using a blank canvas and using a picture of you and your girl as the image to paint.  This will make the date more lasting by giving you the finished artwork to keep.

To make such a process simpler, use an existing picture of you two and go to Photoshop and use one of their filters to make the picture into a paint-by-numbers style.  Print out the edited picture and use that as your model.   Making such a picture would also be a unique idea for a marriage proposal by asking her to marry you at the end, or leaving a blank area on the canvas to be filled in later.
