Hallmark is going to hate me for this. As Romance Experts at The Heart Bandits, we always tell our clients that they do not always have to go out and buy gifts and cards to show someone that they love them.  Being romantic is about the thoughtfulness in things so our Romance Tip of the Week is to make something for your honey.  Here are some things you can consider making that don’t cost a lot of money but will mean the world to them.

A Card

This is one of the simplest ways you can show someone that you are thinking of them.  Use scratch paper and fold it in half.  Draw a picture on the front of the card and write a message.  An idea could be to have the theme of your card be things that you love about your partner.

A Meal

This one will score you major points.  Surprise your sweetheart with either breakfast in the morning or dinner at night.  For breakfast, get up early and cook some heart shaped pancakes and serve it to them in bed.  For dinner, cook something easy like spaghetti with garlic bread.  Serve the dinner with 2 candles and 2 glasses of wine.

A Memory Book

This is one idea that will take a little bit more work than the others but its worth it.  Surprise your lover with a Memory Book.   You have a couple of options.  If you don’t want to spend a lot of money, you could buy construction paper and bind them all together in a book format.  Glue pictures, concert tickets, plane tickets, and anything else that you have into the book.  Make comments like “Remember when…” and “I loved it when we…” If you are willing to spend a little bit more money, you can order an actual Scrapbook that comes already bound and has beautiful paper inside and you can just glue the pictures and stickers in.  If you want something more professional looking, there are sites like Snapfish.com that allow you to create a photobook right online and just add some sweet phrases and have it shipped to your house!  All of these are so romantic.

If you find yourself constantly at a loss for how to be more romantic, why not hire a Romance Expert? The Heart Bandits will plan your romantic events, help you come up with romantic ideas, and  even do the romantic gestures ourselves while you get the credit!  Contact us today!

This is really good advice. Women appreciate the time, effort, and personalization involved in these gifts/cards.

One month ago, I made a goodie bag for my girlfriend who was preparing for a bike race. I put some energy bars, athletic socks, and “I love bicycling” stickers in the bag. Also included was a hand written letter on nice stationery paper. And the bag had a nice floral pattern.

I dropped it off on her doorstep. A few hours later she texted me and said she was “melting” and wanted to see me immediately. I was hoping the idea would be well received. It turned out to be even better.
