3rd Wedding Anniversary Gift Ideas

Today we’re continuing on our installment of Wedding Anniversary Gift Ideas. Today’s we will be talking about the 3rd Wedding Anniversary which is the year that starts to show the resilience in your relationship. The traditional 3rd Year Wedding Anniversary gift is leather. Leather is durable, flexible, and warm therefore it is well suited for this anniversary. Here are some great wedding anniversary gift ideas for your third year that incorporate leather.

Leather Photo Album

This is the perfect gift to rekindle the enjoyment, love, and romance that you two shared on your wedding day 3 years prior. Present this to your partner while you two are out at dinner or when you’re creating a romantic dinner at home. It’s a great way to have quality time and reminisce on one of the best days of your lives.

Leather Passport Holder

This is a great prelude to a surprise trip somewhere or a 2nd honeymoon. You can present this to your loved one and then present tickets for a cruise or a European vacation.

Leather Wallet or Purse

This is a classic gift that will go well for either sex. Women love purses so make sure to get her favorite style or name brand purse. Men aren’t usually crazy about brands and their wallets tend to be old and bulky so a new leather wallet is already probably in dire need.

Leather Shoes

Most women also tend to love shoes so give her some shoes that she’ll love. If you’re not sure which ones she will like take her shopping for some. Men can always go for another pair of classic leather dress shoes. Make sure to go out to a nice place afterwards to have a reason to wear your new shoes and celebrate your anniversary.

Leather Jewelry Case or Valet

Like the passport gift idea, this one is great if you add something bigger to it. Give your partner a jewelry case and drop some brand new jewelry in there that she’ll love. For men, give them a valet and a nice classic or trendy watch that will give him that elegant look.

How To Be Romantic – Best Date Places with Views

Whenever you go out on a date with your partner, it doesn’t matter where you are, but chances are that it will be a much nicer experience if you are enjoying a great view. You can be having a picnic, dinner, or simply just relaxing, but if you have that view, your date will go from normal to simply romantic. Today’s how to be romantic tip from The Heart Bandits will give you ideas for places to go with views that will turn your time into an amazing romantic date.

The Beach or Lakeside

This is one of the best places you can go to with your loved one to enjoy a romantic view. The sound of the waves crashing and the view of blue water as the sun reflects off of it mean that you can simply enjoy the atmosphere without really needing anything else planned. If you do want to up the ante though, try bringing a picnic here at sunset to truly enhance your experience.

Hilltop or Mountaintop

Going to a hilltop or mountaintop may necessitate some hiking or a long drive on a windy road, but the view from the top will be worth it. There is a calming presence when you are at a higher elevation and have an amazing view. This is a great place for a proposal or just to enjoy a quiet moment between you and your sweetie.

Restaurant in Skyscraper

For the person that loves nightlife and is more of a city person, you can’t beat going to a restaurant or lounge that is in a skyscraper. Most cities tend to have at least one of these and there are many that have rotating restaurants at the top. These places are great for enjoying a romantic and classy evening with a drink and taking in the city lights.

Promenade or Square with Patio

When people think of a view, they normally think of landscapes and skylines, but that isn’t all there is to look at. In cities or areas that have eclectic scenes or people, then a good place to enjoy the “view” would be a place where there are lots of people around where you can people watch. Think the Venice Beach boardwalk and you get the idea. Go to a café or restaurant with a patio to sit and enjoy the people walking their different kinds of dogs, doing silly things, wearing silly outfits, or just trying to entertain themselves.

We at The Heart Bandits are romance experts and are here to help you bring that spark into your relationship with everything you need in romance advice and romantic dates and planning. If you would like more romantic date ideas, then contact us today.

I’ve never seen anyone do something like this so I think you’ll like what you see and it could inspire you for your own surprise wedding proposal idea.

The video shows a group of friends walking in a plaza right after a parade. In this plaza they find someone that is dressed in an Easter Bunny costume and they decide to take a picture with him. The man inside is actually Dennis, who is about to propose to his girlfriend Kellz. After a few very curious kids come by and take pictures with the bunny, which by the way, was a great way for him to stay in character, Dennis takes Kellz off to the side. He presents her with a hollow bunny candy as he drops to one knee. The hollow bunny actually has the ring inside and Dennis whispers his proposal to Kellz through the suit. She is confused at first but soon realizes that Dennis is inside. She is overjoyed and hugs Dennis with the suit and all. It is a very cute proposal and Dennis pulled off a great surprise. Congratulations to you both!

How To Ask A Girl To Prom

Prom season is around the corner.  Believe it or not, The Heart Bandits have received inquiries from high school boys asking us if we plan prom-posals.  The answer is yes!  We plan all romantic events so we are happy to help guys figure out how to ask a girl to prom.  Of course you can just be traditional and ask which is certainly fine.  But if you found this page you are likely searching for a creative way to ask someone to prom and we can help.  If you want to create an over the top prom-posal like a flash mob or other unique event, convince your parents to hire The Heart Bandits.  Here are some tips if you want to try it out on your own.

Serenade Her

If you can sing or play any instrument, serenading her before you ask her to the prom is a super sweet idea.  Even if you don’t have the talent, enlist the help of your friends and pop out after the serenade.  You should only attempt this if you are confident the girl will say yes to your prom-posal.

Path to You

Find out what class she is in, and during class create a path made out of roses or stones.  At the door leave a sign that says her name and points up the path.  Be waiting at the end of the path to ask her to prom.

Signs

Signs can be an inexpensive way to impress her. Either put signs up all over campus asking her to prom or hand the signs out to tons of friends and every time a friend sees her have them hold up the sign that says “Will You Go To Prom With (Your Name)?”

If you would like more prom ideas by The Heart Bandits, then contact us today. We are romance experts and can help you come up with the most creative way to ask someone to prom.

For today’s wedding proposal ideas, The Heart Bandits return back to the great state of Texas to give you ideas on how to propose in Dallas.  Here are some top Dallas Proposal Ideas to help inspire you:

Dallas Arboretum

This place is absolutely beautiful in the spring time and it’s probably the most romantic place in the city. Since it’s the setting for numerous weddings, then you know that it’s beautiful. One great way of proposing is taking your partner to the gardens and proposing in front of her favorite flowers. Make sure to have a photographer to capture the moment because it will be a gorgeous picture with this backdrop.

The Mustangs of Las Colinas

If your partner is a horse lover, then these statues will be a wonderful engagement location. It is one of the largest equestrian sculptures in the world. The sculpture is of 9 wild mustangs crossing a stream in Williams Square Plaza. At night, the bronze horses are lit up and create a very romantic setting. Propose here at sunset and then take your partner to a nearby romantic restaurant to celebrate.

Fountain Place

This is a gorgeous place to have your proposal at because it has 172 fountains in the pools, and 360 fountainheads. Some of the water jets are synchronized to dance. Arrange to go here on a nice day and have a guitarist serenade you two as you propose.

Reverchon Park

This is a great park in Dallas and it has a location where you can proclaim your love to your partner. There is an old rock amphitheater located in the park where you can go and arrange a proposal. Tell her you have something to say at sunset and pronounce your love for her.

Art Gallery Proposal

A beautiful Art Gallery Proposal occurred in Everett, Washington and The Heart Bandits loved it!  Throughout their relationship the couple celebrated dates, anniversaries and other special days going  to art galleries.  Even their first conversation was about art.  So it only made sense that the two art lovers got engaged at an art gallery.   Jeremy knew just the right way to propose and it went perfectly.  He consulted with his friend Jessica, and the two created a painting that said, “You Are My Heart,” and included a picture of the couple.  The painting also included an engagement ring that was attached to the piece with a clothespin.  When Anette saw the painting she cried as Jeremy removed the engagement ring from the pin and proposed.  Here is why The Heart Bandits love this proposal for marriage!

Relevant to Relationship

This proposal was completely relevant to their relationship.  Jeremy didn’t propose there because it was just a cool place to propose.  He proposed there because art had everything to do with his relationship.

Well Planned

Jeremy knew the importance of a well planned proposal.  He secured the gallery, worked with  his friend to come up with the plot, painted the picture, and pulled it all off without a hitch.

Tradition

While Jeremy’s proposal was certainly creative, he still kept an element of tradition by getting on one knee to propose.  That is something The Heart Bandits always recommend.

Great job Jeremy and congrats to the happy couple.

If you want to create a romantic and personalized proposal like this, hire The Heart Bandits to help you figure out where to propose, how to propose, and proposal planning.  Contact us today to get started on making your dream proposal come true.

2nd Wedding Anniversary Gift Ideas

Today we’re continuing on our installment of The Heart Bandits Anniversary Gift Ideas. Today’s focus is on the 2nd Wedding Anniversary which I will be reaching next year with my sweetie. The traditional 2nd Year Wedding Anniversary gift is cotton. Cotton doesn’t sound too fancy but it is meant to symbolize durability and versatility. It is a practical material that can be used together as a married couple. Here are some great wedding anniversary gift ideas for your second year that incorporate cotton.

Clothing

But not just any piece of clothing, try getting your spouse something that matches such as bathrobes. These bathrobes can be anagrammed with your initials and your anniversary date to symbolize that you’ve made it this far. You might also consider getting your partner some cashmere pajamas so you two can be kept warm while snuggling up.

Hammock

I LOVE this idea. If you get a hammock, make sure to get a big one. The idea behind the hammock is that you can relax together in one. Set it up in your yard or between two make shift posts indoors then curl up with your sweetie with a book, drink, or just each other. It’s a perfect gift to bring you closer together.

Apron

Get your partner a personalized apron that is more stylish and original than just plain old white ones. Flirty Aprons has some great unique aprons for women. If you both have aprons, then you can have an excuse to have fun in the kitchen by having a date night making a new dish. If neither one of you are good cooks, you can try putting on your aprons and trying an easy dessert to make. It’s a great way to connect and bond together.

Bedding

For this anniversary you can always get yourselves something that you will use and appreciate; high quality bedding. Splurging on a high-thread count bedding set will make your bedroom much more comfortable. You can also go for customized pillow sets that have personalized sayings to your spouse.

If you would like more wedding anniversary gift ideas, anniversary date ideas, or anniversary party planning, then contact us today. We are your go-to place for all things romance and anniversary.

Proposal Advice from a Proposal Planner

Proposal Advice.  You need it, The Heart Bandits have it.  If you are wondering how to pull off the perfect engagement proposal, The Heart Bandits have some tips you should follow.

Be on the Same Page

At some point in a serious relationship, it should become obvious that your partner wants to be with you forever.  If it isn’t 100% clear to you that your partner wants to spend their life with you, have the talk.  The last thing you want to do is propose and they say no.  You could ask simple things like, “Where do you see this going?” or you can bring it up in a more subtle way by bringing up a friend that just got engaged and asking your partner what they think about marriage.  No matter how you do it, do find out.  Trust this piece of engagement advice.

Get a Ring

Don’t propose without an engagement ring.  The ring is a symbol of commitment and a woman will be expecting it.  There may be an exception like if you are traveling and are afraid of losing it, but even still have some kind of a ring as a placeholder.

Make a Plan

Sit down and figure out how you are going to propose.  Do not just wing it.  A lot of people get the ring and then they just want to propose right away, with no idea on how they will do it.  Your partner deserves a great proposal.  So create a great proposal idea and write it all out on paper.  If you are having trouble coming up with a great proposal idea you can always hire a Proposal Planner from The Heart Bandits.

Execute Plan

The Heart Bandits Planning Proposals

Once you have the marriage proposal idea decided, you will need to execute the plan.  This could require researching proposal locations, making reservations, auditioning and hiring vendors, buying supplies, creating props, etc.  If all of that seems like too much stress, don’t worry, The Heart Bandits are available for hire to take care of all of your proposal needs.

If you want to create the perfect proposal hire the Proposal Experts.  We have a passion for engagement planning and we will create an original proposal concept and then execute the idea for you.  Contact us today to get started on making your dream proposal come true.

Romance Tip of the Week – Different Flowers for Different Days

I’m about to lay some romance education on you so get ready. I’m far from an expert at this but I know just enough to get by, but did you (I’m mainly talking to men here) know that there are different kinds of flowers other than roses? It’s a shocker I know but knowing this could help you expand your romance repertoire tremendously. For The Heart Bandits Romance Tip of the Week, I’m going to tell you about some other kinds of flowers that will be great gifts to give your partner that are different than roses and will give you a different way of showing romance. It is a great idea to send your sweetie different types of flowers for different days of the week to show how much you care.

Lilies

These flowers have longer pedals that slowly bend backward and give the flower a delicate charm. They come in many colors and there’s different types such as Stargazers, Peruvian, and White Calla. Give these out to your loved one on a special occasion to show variety to your flower gifts.

Tulips

Tulips come in very bright colors so they would be great for a birthday or a festive type of celebration to give her.

Daisies

This is a delicate flower that is simple but bright and is a good gift to give if she’s not feeling well. They have longer life spans than most flowers and can provide a positive aura in its surrounding.

Sunflowers

These are typically associated with spring and summer. If you want to cheer up your sweetie then try giving her some of these. They brighten up a room and will brighten up her day.

Peonies

I know these types of flowers because Michele wanted them for our wedding but they were out of season unfortunately (their season is April to June). They are very beautiful flowers because they hold a lot of petals in a small area and when they bloom they look very nice. They come in many soft colors so give one to your loved one as a sweet and romantic gift.

If you would like more romantic gift ideas, then contact us today. We are romance experts and can help you bring that spark in your relationship that you’ve been looking for.
