This past Wednesday, the good folks at NBC Los Angeles came by to interview The Heart Bandits as proposal experts for a newscast describing how our marriage proposal planning business works. The whole time was a blast! Below are some questions that did not come out on the air that we’d like to share:

Q: How well do you two work together as husband and wife?
A: We work very well together. Michele is more of the extrovert and I’m more of the introvert but we work very well because we’re both really creative and love what we do. We’re both romantics-at-heart so it makes doing this more worth-while.

Q: Is there more added pressure on you now that you’re working in a romantic-planning business?
A: Absolutely! lol But it’s not so bad though because being in this business you learn so much and you try to outdo yourself and continually think in different levels of romance.

Q: What’s it like being part of such a big moment in a guy’s life?
A: It’s amazing! You are part of one the biggest days of someone’s life. So after the marriage proposal when people tell you that you helped make it special, it’s very heartwarming. It’s not something that you get at other types of jobs so it makes what we do all that more worth it.

Q: What advice would you give to guys out there that are thinking of proposing?
A: Once you have the budget and the plan, then just make sure that you enjoy the moment. Sure there’s going to be nerves during the proposal, but that only makes it more special. Make sure that you enjoy your time when you and your girl take the next step.
