Some people want a private, quiet proposal- but some people want an all-out public spectacle with songs, dancing, and good friends. We’ve gathered some of the most heartfelt and ingenious musical proposals to inspire you to come up with your own proposal idea.

One Thing

This is a sweet and funny proposal with a creative twist; the proposee is seated in the back of a moving car, which puts her in the perfect spot to enjoy a perfectly lip-synced dance routine featuring her closest friends and family.

The Fantaticks

This proposal is a touching gift, from the whole cast of a production of The Fantasticks to one special girl. Her boyfriend (now husband) arranged for the whole thing to take place after the bows, and provided all the choreography and props. This proposal is more understated than many of the musical proposals out there, but romantic and well-balanced.

Cherry Blossom Proposal

This proposal absolutely stands out for one reason: all of the music was written for the occasion by the young woman who proposed, all tailored to her beloved girlfriend. The personalization of the music is touching: “I know you’re young and I’m in school, but all that I want is you; you make me happy, and I love you.”

These three proposals are linked by more than music; each one is deeply personal to the couple, is arranged with care and attention, and involves friends and family. The music is a central part, yes, but it’s the love and effort involved that makes each one shine.  If you want your proposal to be just as magnificent, you need expert advice from a Proposal Planner.
