Mike came to New York Wedding Proposal Planners The Heart Bandits to plan his marriage proposal to Candace while they were visiting New York. He originally was going to propose on a rooftop at his hotel, but when rain threatened to ruin his plans, he contacted us to save the day. We immediately started brainstorming NYC proposal ideas. We found him the perfect proposal venue that not only had a gorgeous terrace in case it didn’t end up raining after all, but also had a beautiful view from inside of the space in case rain did come. And come it did!
The Proposal
Mike and Candace arrived under the ruse that they were going to be having dinner. When she stepped in the space, she was pleasantly confused. Instead of walking her to a table, he walked her down an aisle of her favorite colored flowers, past beautifully lit lanterns, and toward a large sign displayed in the center.
The Details
The sign that was displayed had such a special meaning. You see, for Mike and Candace’s entire relationship, they have been long distance. They commute back and forth from Dallas and Houston just to be together. So it was only appropriate that at the end of the gorgeous aisle was a sign that had the city of Dallas and the city of Houston along with the words, “Home Is Wherever I’m With You” and “Where There Is Love, Distance Does Not Matter.”
Mike dropped to his knee and proposed and Candace said yes! They celebrated with Dom Pérignon but Mike wanted to add something that was even more “Mike and Candace).
