There are a lot of ways that you can get creative with a marriage proposal. You can make it super romantic with lots of candles and roses. You can make it adventurous or active by proposing at the top of a long hike or while skydiving. But for Gary Hudston, he wanted to do something different, something that is more personalized and completely unique (not to mention totally awesome!) ?.   A big fan of Portal 2, which is a very popular first-person puzzle video game. In the game, you must solve a series of puzzles by teleporting your player’s character and objects with a “portal gun”. What Gary did, was to make a completely new level within the game that his girlfriend Stephanie would discover while playing. The level is a very romantic and sweet level that culminates in an actual proposal to her. He even added custom dialogue into the levels to make it flow into the game. The Heart Bandits – Proposal Planners love personalized proposals and since BOTH of them love the game, we approve!

You can watch the video below that was compiled by some of the video game designers that he enlisted to help him make this creative marriage proposal idea work. The entire work is very nicely done and for a techie proposal, still manages to bring a huge emotional spin on it with the added gestures in the game. What The Heart Bandits love about this proposal idea is that he took a big effort to make it memorable. It’s not easy to write the code for a video game, let alone something meant for only one person.  She of course said yes and we can’t blame her. We wish the happy couple a lifetime of happiness and video game bliss.
