Jeremy and Xiaoting shared their first date hiking to Sandstone Peak at the eastern edge of Malibu. He wanted to recreate that experience and feeling with a romantic dinner for two on a hilltop in Malibu overlooking the Pacific Ocean. On the day of his proposal, Jeremy parked his car at the pre-designated location and began a hike up the mountainside with his beloved.
She was absolutely stunned when she got to the top and found a beautiful white and gold romantic setup created just for her. There were gold lanterns and chairs draped with flowing white fabric. The place settings were gold rimmed and the centerpiece was filled with unusual flowers in coral colors to compliment the ocean background.
Jeremy walked her past a sign covered in rose petals that said, “Marry Me” and then dropped to his knee to propose. Xiaoting said YES!!
After the proposal, the private chef and staff began to serve them a celebratory dinner. They enjoyed pan seared foie gras with apple puree on warm brioche, squid ink flat noodle pasta with pan seared scallops on a saffron sauce and pistachio and honey Creme brûlée. Jeremy and Xiaoting spent time enjoying their meal and Champagne, watching the sun set.
