The time has come to pop the question, and romantic ideas are racing through your brain. You could fly somewhere scenic in a helicopter, propose in the ocean at sunset, propose at the top of a tall building with an amazing view, or even on a rollercoaster. Before you choose one of these ideas, or something just as fabulous, it is important that you consider your sweetheart’s unique needs. Does she have any allergies? Is there anything that she really loves or dislikes? Does she have any phobias? A phobia is a deep, irrational fear of something. It is not something that she can “just get over,” so it’s important to know if she has any, so you can avoid them.

HEIGHTS OR FLYING

Not everyone is afraid of both heights and flying. She may be afraid of flying, but perfectly fine at the top of a tall building, or the top of a Ferris wheel or roller coaster. Also, for some people with fears of heights, they are fine in planes or helicopters. Make sure you know exactly what the phobia is, so you can craft a proposal that is memorable for the right reasons.

WATER

Open water is a common fear, so make sure you know about this before you set up an elaborate sea side proposal. She may be afraid of the sea, but fine with rivers, creeks, or streams. Ask lots of questions, so you can plan something that suits both of you.

OTHER COMMON FEARS

Other common phobias include tight spaces, large crowds, or animals (specifically birds or insects). Knowing these things about your beloved can allow you to plan a marriage proposal that will thrill her, and make her feel like you really know her well.
