Tried and true, the ring photo is one of the simplest and most effective engagement announcements out there. There are myriad ways to compose a ring photo: the ring on her finger, the two of you holding hands with the ring visible, the ring standing alone, or even the word “Love” with the ring as the O. This is a great opportunity to play off of a classic concept with some new design.

Bring in Reinforcements

With a little planning, you can get the rest of the family in on your announcement. If you have children, be sure to include them in the photo, since this decision is just as important for them as it is for you. One idea is to have everybody hold signs that spell out a message, such as “Daddy asked, and Mommy said yes!” It’s a great chance to show your unity as a family while spreading the good news.
