Halloween can be a great time to propose marriage, but you have to do it the right way. Carving “Will you marry me” in a pumpkin………hmm…….pass! Taking her to your favorite tombstone at a cemetery to pop the question……not so much. But fear not, The Heart Bandits are here to help. Follow the steps below for a flawless Halloween proposal.
- Determine if Halloween is a favorite holiday of the woman you are about to propose to. If every year she can’t wait to dress up as the newest pop culture icon (think Lady Gaga or Snookie), you are in the clear. If she wants to turn off all of the lights and hide from the kids trick or treating, this is not the right day for you.
- Choose the setting. Would you like to propose at a Halloween party with her friends and family around to see? Would you prefer it to be just the two of you? Maybe she is into being scared and Knott’s Scary Farm would be a good place.
- Choose the costume. You COULD have a a Halloween proposal without the costume, but why would you want to? That is half the fun! Choose a costume that you will be able to incorporate into your proposal such as a bride and groom or Cinderella and her Prince.
- If you insist on not wearing a costume (party pooper) you could always take her trick or treating and arrange for someone to help you present the treat, the engagement ring!
